So, Friday I swooped down to Lauren's after work; Katie and I met her for a girls night before the wedding next Saturday!! We did some...I did some bow tying... ;) They did the prep work for the programs. Then we played Donkey Konga which I so want now, watched Shall We Dance and fell asleep. It was a very relaxing night.

Lauren gave us our Charlotte wedding coordinator earpieces...the FOB is MIA. I guess that's the Wedding Planner, but it's all the same idea. :) :)

Then Saturday, we went tanning. For 6 minutes. After I drove back home, it had progressed over a couple hours and I look like a little lobster!! I don't mind except for my face really, but I think it'll calm down in a day or so. Katie was right, those bulbs were hot.

Then when I got home I drove to Borders to get a copy of Harry Potter and was so pissed to find that you had to preorder it, so I went home and sulked. Then Zach suggested I just go to Walmart, cause it would surely be there. I went to Target, and lo and behold there it was, so I got pretty far into that last night and my goal is to finish it today. So we shall see.

How addictingly great is Donkey Konga? Granted most of the songs are either half-decent(at best) covers or seemingly random children's songs... note how I don't complain about the number of Nintendo-themed songs though, I guess that's just the gamer geek in me. On the plus side, Donkey Konga 2 does have some actually licensed songs so you hear the real artists and not some group of unknowns.

But I digress. Donkey Konga is so addicting. For a while I was concearned about getting it because I didn't think I had much rhythm to speak of so I thought I'd suck at it. Turns out I do hae some rhythm and I do quite well at the game. Another great plus, it's a work-out for your arms. :)

Well with one rhythmic game that gives you a bit of a workout under my belt, I guess my quest for the next game that fits that criteria is Dance Dance Revolution. I'll probably look like a fool when I first start, but that's the risk you run I guess.

I really need to catch up with the Harry Potter series. I've only read the first two books and seen the first two movies. I can sorta see this becoming like a second Dark Tower scenerio for me; wait unitl all seven books are out in paperback and then read on.
